Just after 2:30am Monday morning August 12th, the Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response responded to a single vehicle roll over on Happy Camp Rd.
A driver and 3 passengers, from Happy Camp CA, were riding in a small Datsun Pickup with two bucket seats. The driver was attempting to maneuver a curve, on the way to Cave Junction, when the vehicle rolled over.
One Passenger was transported to Snow Park by AMR and then air lifted by Mercy Flights helicopter to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. The Driver and the other two passengers were picked up by one of their mothers.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Oregon State Police.
Traffic control was provided by Illinois Valley Fire District CERT. The Road was closed for 35 minutes until alternating lane traffic was established.
