On Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force conducted a probation search at the residence of an active Humboldt County individual on probation for possession of a controlled substance while armed.
The individual, identified a 32 year old Derek Buchkoski had been under investigation by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force for trafficking large quantities of heroin into Humboldt County.
Inside Buchkoski’s bedroom agents located a safe that contained 3 pounds of heroin, ½ pound of methamphetamine, ½ pound of psilocybin mushrooms, 1 ounce of “crack” cocaine, “Molly” pills, Multiple digital scales, Packaging materials and Pay/Owe sheets.
Derek Buchkoski was detained inside his residence without incident and was booked at the Humboldt County jail on charges of Possession of methamphetamine for sale, Possession of controlled substances for sale, Maintaining or operating a drug house, and Probation Violation.
