The 27th Annual Southern Oregon Kite Festival will be held Jul 20-21, 2019, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., on the kite field at the Port of Brookings-Harbor.
This popular event is free and fun for all ages. See more than 30 nationally and internationally renowned kite flyers perform amazing routines choreographed to music. Weekend activities also include free children’s kite building workshops and vendors selling eats, treats, and merchandise for the enjoyment of festival attendees. Free parking and free shuttles to the kite festival field are provided.
Since 1993, the Southern Oregon Kite Festival has been one of the premier kite festivals in the United States, bringing some of the most well-known kite fliers and kite makers to perform and display their creations for locals and tourists alike.

Festivities will kick off Friday evening, July 20th, at 7 p.m., the location for the Sixth Annual Indoor Kite Flying Demo will be announced as soon as possible.
The popular kite auction banquet to which the kite fliers, kite makers, and local businesses contribute collectible kites and other memorabilia to benefit the kite festival is a special attraction on Saturday evening.
