Early Monday morning, October 28th, an earthquake struck just 81 miles off of the coast of Brookings, Oregon. The 5.2 magnitude quake was just over 6 miles deep.
Less than an hour later, at 4:46am another quake struck slightly north of the earlier tremor 72 miles off the coast of Gold Beach. This quake was a considerably smaller 3.6 magnitude and approximately a mile deep.
